About Me
Hi, I'm Veronica Perez-Thayer, BIPOC marriage and family therapist in Sacramento, California. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! In my work it's a strong and secure therapeutic relationship from which my clients and I build our work upon. I'll give you the space to share what you feel is important about yourself, your relationships, and what it is you are seeking in therapy. You are welcome and encouraged to show up as you are - hurt, afraid, frustrated, ashamed, confused, hopeful, excited, proud, courageous...Many people hide parts of themselves for fear of rejection or ridicule. These are the parts of ourselves that we most need others to see, accept, and care for, but we tend to struggle to do this for ourselves as well. This is a part of my work I'm passionate about, and I hope to help you show up authentically for yourself and within your relationships.

I'll use warmth and nonjudgment when working with you, and incorporate authenticity, empathy, hope, and creativity as we work collaboratively to identify your strengths, your goals, and the path that will lead you there. I welcome anyone regardless of their age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, or ability. My overall goal is to help my clients develop the necessary skills to create healthy and satisfying lives and relationships according to their own unique beliefs and values.

In my spare time I enjoy perusing the local nurseries for my next plant baby and digging my fingers into the earth as I garden while my dogs root around and supervise. I also enjoy moving my body through exercise, connecting with the wild with a good hike, lounging in coffee shops and bookstores, enjoying vegan food, creating art (collage and painting), and exploring new destinations with my husband.
